Follow M56 along the signed 'North Wales A5117/A55' Queensferry

Follow the A55 through three tunnels. Keep going until you pass the A5 turnoff to Betws-y-Coed and take the next exit to the A487 to Caernarfon.

Follow this road going through Caernarfon taking the Porthmadog and then Pwllheli signs and continue to follow Pwllheli as the road turns into the A499.

From Pwllheli proceed west on the A499. At Llanbedrog opposite the Glyn-y-Weddw pub turn right onto the B4413. It should take you 15-20mins from Llanbedrog to the cottage.

It is 2.5 miles to the left turn to Rhiw, (signposted Rhiw and Plas-yn-Rhiw) The turn is about 100 yards past the LLangian and Abersoch turnoff as you leave Myntho.

Keep on this road. Follow the road round to the left, (signposted Rhiw) and over the pontoon-style bridge.

Keep going up the hill past Plas-yn-Rhiw National Trust property.

As you enter Rhiw, before the small chapel, turn left between the two white cottages. (Looks like you are heading into someone’s drive.) Parking is in a layby on the left.

You can drive down through the rusty National Trust gate (very narrow, watch your wing mirrors) to drop your gear off.

Bodowen is the middle house in the row of three terraces.

Best method for parking to unload is to swing hard right immediately after you go through the National Trust gate, and then back up the track towards the derelict house with the rusty corrugated iron roof. Stop when you see the overgrown gravel path leading to Bodowen's back steps.

If you stay on the upside of the cottages, you can park on the track and unload into the back door using the steps. Parking in front of the house is not recommended as you will get stuck.
